Message It looks like these just provide lights which light up when you have a closed circuit to the ignition, injectors, or VTC. This is a decent starting point in diagnosing problems associated with all but nowhere near a complete diagnosis, particularly with the VTC.

My experience in difficulties with the VTCs are not associated with the electrical connections but rather the local oil pressure and lash associated with a worn VTC. That's very difficult to recognize and proving that the actuator is working is nowhere near sufficient.

With injectors the trouble is increased resistance. I believe these lights would still light up even if you had a faulty injector. Would they be dimmer? I don't know? Would you be able to discern a difference? No clue, but seems doubtful. Are these more convenient or useful than a multimeter? Maybe, but I won't buy them.

However, it looks like the Aussie has put forth a fair amount of effort to develop a quality closed circuit tester. I'm just not sure how much value that information really is. Hopefully he chimes in here.
